Lute Beneath the Arch

A richly detailed digital tableau presents a seated woman in a burgundy and gold robe playing an oud within an ornate interior. Arched architecture, patterned tilework, heavy curtains, Arabic calligraphy, an open manuscript, and antique instruments create a theatrical sense of cultivated domestic life. The carefully centered figure is illuminated by warm light from the window, while elaborate surfaces and decorative furnishings evoke an imagined historical Middle Eastern courtly setting.
