The Peacock-Crowned Lion

A frontal lion dominates the composition with its mane radiating into a dark field of peacock feathers, their blue eyespots punctuating the background like watchful jewels. An ornate golden crest marked “PONO” rests above the animal’s brow, while a segmented collar and deep red garment heighten its ceremonial presence. Richly modeled fur, glowing eyes, and an open, fanged mouth give the portrait a theatrical, heraldic intensity.
