Garden Figure in Bloom

A vigorously painted garden scene centers on a large, pale-pink flower rising against a deep charcoal ground, while clusters of vivid blossoms and dense turquoise-green foliage surround a partially visible figure in the lower left. The figure’s broad pink hat, yellow scarf, blue garment, and turned profile introduce a quiet human presence within the exuberant vegetation. Heavy impasto, scraped passages, and emphatic directional marks give the surface a tactile, almost sculptural energy, balancing the dark backdrop with an intensely saturated floral world.
