Horses Beneath a Winter Sky

A windswept rural landscape unfolds beneath a vast, turbulent blue sky, where a dark windmill anchors the left side and a running herd of horses cuts across the snowy middle ground. The fence leads diagonally into the scene, while broken black marks in the foreground suggest tracks or disturbed snow. Broad, heavily worked strokes give the surface a lively, tactile energy, contrasting the stark silhouettes with the pale openness of the field.
