An elegant, flowing, pastel linen dress featuring a heavily embroidered high-neck collar and a monobosom "puffed" blouse. It was worn over a rigid, straight-front, steel corset that forced the hips backward and the chest forward into an exaggerated "S" shape. Adopted broadly by the young and fashionable looking to mimic the iconic "Gibson Girl" ideal, while the traditional among older generations viewed the extreme posture change with deep skepticism.
