A hand-cut paper collage maps a vividly imagined island where dense green forests, waterfalls, rivers, rocky excavations, a coastal church, logging, mining, and an offshore oil platform converge. Small irregular pieces of colored paper give the terrain a tactile, mosaic-like surface, while the broad overhead composition reads like both a childlike geographic map and a pointed portrait of human industry within a living landscape.
