Procession Beneath Dark Skies

A somber figurative painting presents a ragged band of skeletal and weathered travelers crossing a barren landscape beneath a turbulent blue sky. A central figure carries a bundled infant beneath an oversized pale cloth, while companions clutch staffs, belongings, and one another as birds wheel overhead. Distorted anatomy, masklike faces, and dense, scraped-looking marks give the scene the force of an allegorical pilgrimage or displaced community, balancing stark desolation with collective endurance.
