Yellow Animal, Mountain Dream

A vividly colored yellow animal stretches across the foreground of a mountainous landscape, its rounded body and dark blue markings rendered with broad, confident forms. Black tree trunks frame the scene while red, orange, green, and violet planes ripple through the hills and sky, giving the composition a theatrical, dreamlike energy. The flattened space and expressive distortions place the work firmly in the tradition of early twentieth-century modernist animal painting.
