Kristy Mackenzie creates vivid studies of wildlife, from bears, ferrets, pandas, and African wild dogs to monarch butterflies gathered beneath a canopy. Working across digital photography, oil on canvas, and digital painting, Mackenzie combines close observation with dramatic cropping, dark grounds, and sharply focused texture. Her images move between kinetic encounters and intimate portraits, giving each subject an almost emblematic presence while preserving its character and vulnerability.
