Out Of Order

I am a transgender artist, a former foster kid, and a cancer patient who spent eight years fighting to be believed. My art explores the consequences of institutional neglect, the humanity we lose when people become labels, and the beauty that exists alongside suffering. I've spent my life being told that something about me was disordered. My childhood, my gender, my mind, my body. Through this expierence, I challenge the systems that were supposed to protect and heal me, and ask a question I hope stays with you long after you've looked away, What if the people we've spent so much time trying to fix were never the ones who were broken?
