Garden of Hidden Wings

A richly layered contemporary painting gathers flowers, birds, a frog, and drifting botanical forms into an imagined garden. A pale bird dominates the right side with its wings spread, while a smaller bird, insects, and a watchful frog animate the dense field of blossoms and leaves. Scraped passages, sketchlike black outlines, patterned marks, and translucent color create a tactile surface in which recognizable forms emerge and dissolve against one another.
