Garden Watcher

A richly layered painting places a shaggy blue-gray dog at the right edge of a densely populated garden, surrounded by flowers, leafy forms, and loosely suggested architectural or figurative fragments. Broad blocks of pigment, scraped passages, and quick dark marks leave the canvas texture visible, while the animal’s watchful face provides a recognizable anchor within the exuberant abstraction. The composition feels intimate and animated, as though a private garden has been recalled through memory rather than rendered literally.
